Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov is an author who creates exclusive artistic knives in the national style, as well as sculptures that have a deep meaning.

The author's style is clearly expressed in his works.

Zhigzhit draws ideas for his works from the heritage of his ancestors, inspired by the Buryat epic and borrowing motifs from the national Buryat costume and ornament. For decoration, she uses elements of traditional Buryat symbolism, which is based on ancient sacred knowledge, and, of course, the infinitely beautiful and diverse nature in its forms serves as a source of inspiration.

Also, the basis for his work is the works of folk art, the study of the life and customs of ancestors, their beliefs and cults, reading historical books and annals - artifacts of the life of the ancient Mongol-Buryats.

Zhigzhit adopted his penchant for jewelry making from his father, for whom jewelry work is a favorite hobby, doing which he produced a lot of national jewelry items in his life.

Currently, Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov lives and works in the cultural capital of our country - St. Petersburg. Here he established his Workshop-Studio, where he and his team create these wonderful knives and sculptures.

More recently, Zhigzhit opened his representative office in Moscow, as well as in sunny Ulan-Ude, the Republic of Buryatia!

 


Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov born in 1985 in The Republic of Buryatia, Russia. He lived and studied in Ulan-Ude until 2004 and then move away to Saint Petersburg where founded the workshop. Bayaskhalanov’s art is inspired by traditional culture of Buryatin and developed in accordance to spirit of contemporaneity. His way of form sculpturing by only using silhouette is unique and attracts viewer’s attention. By virtue remarkable play with material heavy bronze becomes light and flexible.

The workshop of Bayaskhalanov has been working for seven years. Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov’s artworks were demonstrated in noumerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad: State Museum-Reserve «Moscow Kremlin», Exhibition centre «Gostiny Dvor», State Hermitage in Saint Petersburg; Museum of Fine Arts in Ulaanbaatar, «THE CIC Knife Show» in Milan, International arms exhibitions Coutellia in Thiers, International arms exhibitions «FICX Paris» in Paris etc.


Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov est né en 1985 dans la République de Bouriatie, Russie. Il a vécu et a fait ses études jusqu’à l’année 2004 à Oulan-Oudé, après quoi il a déménagé à Saint-Pétersbourg, où il a fondé son Atelier des Arts. L’art de Bayaskhalanov est inspiré par la culture bouriate traditionnelle et développé en conformité avec l’esprit moderne. L’habileté du maître de créer des formes sculpturales n’offrant que des silhouettes est unique et attire l’attention des spectateurs. Grâce à ce maniement habile des matériaux le bronze lourd devient léger et plastique.

L’atelier de Bayaskhalanov a ouvert ses portes il y a sept ans. Les œuvres de Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov ont été présentées dans plusieurs expositions en Russie et à l’étranger: Musée national - parc de réserves «Kremlin de Moscou» et le centre d’exposition «Gostiny Dvor» à Moscou, Musée de l'Ermitage à Saint-Pétersbourg, Musée des Beaux-Arts à Oulan-Bator, «THE CIC Knife Show» à Milan, Exposition internationale «Coutellia» à Thiers, Exposition internationale «FICX Paris» à Paris etc.
