Knife composition «Unity»

The composition «Unity» is one of the most famous works made by Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov. It contains the idea that an aim achievement is a result of combined efforts.

The Mongolian nomads have known around the world as great riders often used the special tactic. They imitated retreat to compel rivals chasing the horsemen. When an enemy was focusing on guiding a steed, the Mongolian warrior, armed with a bow, had turned around and made a clean shot.

That is the historical background of the composition «Unity». Such details, like the pose of the archer, extended neck of the horse, the gust of wind waving the plume on the top of the helmet, let the viewer feel the dynamism and inner tension of the item. The artistic image has captured a man, an animal, and nature merged in a common impulse.
