«Kalmuch's Knife» is typologically close to Buryatian and Mongolian knives, but the difference from them is a more laconic ornament. The artist included the endless knot at the composition and put the Dharma Chakra («Wheel of Dharma») in the central of the belt. The shining of the metal set off the color of the lazurite. The silver details are made in the technique of embossing, which is a distinctive feature of the traditional Buryatian processing of metal.
